28th August 2016 (Evening) – Rev. John Williams – Psalm 47

Hello and welcome to Bethel Evangelical Church in Gorseinon and thank you for checking out this weeks sermon recordings.

The 28th of August’s evening service was led our pastor, the Rev. John Williams.

John’s evening service started a short Summer series in the book of Psalms whilst various members take their holidays. This week, John looked at Psalm 44, which comes across as more of a lament rather than praise. It reflects the reality that we often face dilemma’s, even whilst walking close with God, and we’re reminded of the importance of simply casting ourselves upon Him.
John had three points to his sermon, and they were:

  • (Verses 1-4) God Came Down
  • (Verses 5-7) God Went Up
  • (Verses 8-9) God Sat Down
